Manufacturing techniques of the plastic-coated steel tube

under the room temperature

Abstract: The big caliber plastic-coated steel tube has a great need in the market recently, however the cost is very high with the existing technology. The development of the special paint makes the manufacture of the plastic-coated steel tube be possible under the room temperature. This technique requires less treatment on the surface of the tube and needlessness of heat treatment to the tube, in addition, there is no need of large machines. Tubes with caliber above Φ10-3800 can be painted both inside and outside, products reach the national standard. This techniques meets the demand of the of the steel tube of big caliber paint mold. The coat contains nontoxic and elastic paint which is of low water resistance and which schleps rust and guard against rust and which is of the virtue of keeping clean and unpoisonous, also it can depress the growth of the lichen and worm effectively.

3．结论

3.1 常温涂塑(弹性体)钢管与用聚乙烯和环氧涂塑的工艺相比，主要工艺特点是：无需喷砂除锈，清除浮锈即可施工；无需对钢管进行加热处理，常温即可喷涂施工；施工机具简单，可现场施工。

3.2 常温涂塑钢管解决了国内大口径涂塑钢管生产成本极高的情况，填补了国内ø250mm以上直径涂塑钢管的空白。

3.3 经大量的试验研究证明，常温涂塑钢管应用于自来水工程，常能有效的抑制青苔和红虫的滋生。可减少藻类及红虫在管网的大量滋生，有利于保障居民二次供水的质量。

3.4 常温涂塑钢管的涂层薄，阻力系数小在0.0082以下，过水流量可大于普通涂塑钢管，也有利于节省能耗。

3.5 常温涂塑钢管的防腐防护能力极强，可用于酸、碱、盐、海水、石油化工等复杂环境，涂层可耐180℃高温且高温下体积变形极小，耐磨性也极强。因此，也可用于输送含固量较高的流体物质。

3.6 常温涂塑钢管属于弹性体涂层，比其他涂层更具有弹性，可适应不同情况下的应力变形。小口径涂塑钢管可直接打弯，及在卡箍连接下涂层不受影响。常规涂塑钢管，在卡箍连接方式中经常会脱落，现场又无法修补。
